What's Happening with Gladden Farms, Marana, AZ Homes for Sale? If you've followed my blog at all, you know that I often highlight the master-planned community of Gladden Farms in Marana, AZ...just north of Tucson along Interstate 10. Places to Eat In and Around Marana, AZ A few new restaurants have opened up in Marana, AZ in the last little while and my husband and I have done a bit of "menu exploring" to discover whether our finds have "made the list" we keep in our heads for places we'll visit again.  I don't like focusing on negativity, and so this short blog won't be long in detail, but here's a little bit about three local restaurants in and around Marana, AZ. Things to do in Marana:  a Block Party! This sounds fun -- today, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a new business is having a party in nearby Marana, AZ. Open to the public, come welcome "The Station" to the community at Wade and Silverbell Road in Continental Ranch!  There will be a ribbon cutting ceremonies for several businesses opening on that intersection including Anytime Fitness and Fowler Chiropractic! The Station will be serving a varied menu including steaks, seafood and burgers.  There will be lots of TV's to support a sports bar atmosphere, as well as karaoke and music entertainment.  Prices will range from $5 to $20 for menu items. Balancing the Market in Gladden Farms, a Master-Planned Marana/Tucson Community The market statistics are really changing out in Gladden Farms, a master-planned community just a few minutes west of I-10 off Tangerine Farms road. In my last quarterly report, 69 homes were active, active contingent, active capa and pending, compared with our current numbers at 100. Here's what's interesting:  Only 7 of those are ACTIVE listings for sale.  Buyers have discovered that this immaculate, pride-of-ownership community is a good place to be.  In comparison to 2011 December's avg price per square foot of $80.87, Mid-March finds the average at 81.47 for ACTIVE homes. Taking a Walk Among Spring Blooms in Marana Ahh, Spring.  Perhaps it seems doubly nice since our 5 day visit to Green Bay, WI, but to me, there's nothing like discovering new blooms and beauty when out for a daily walk. Gladden Farms in Marana has miles of public pathways and bike trails, waterways filled with trees and shrubbery, and mountain views...but I find my eyes get drawn to the bright spots in folks' front yards. I was able to get a bit of gardening done myself over the weekend, and am looking forwards to getting a bunch of annuals to nestle in among the cactus and lantana already waking up from "winter" in Tucson.
