This was the first year that my family & I went to see the fireworks at Goodyear Ballpark. Inside the ballpark there was a band rides and games for the kids. We found a great viewing spot right across Bullard RD from the ballpark. We were able to park in a field with about 30 other cars. There we were able to spread out our lawn chairs & be quite comfortable away from the big crowd. The fireworks were being shot off only about 50 yards or so in front of us. The show started a little late which was disappointing but once the show started it was great, especially because they were being shot off so close to us. Here is some good news for the west valley a settlement was finally reached between state and county officials over construction of single-family homes near Luke Air Force Base.  The settlement requires a county ordinance prohibiting development of single-family homes in high-accident and high-noise areas around Luke, Luke Aux 1 and Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field.
