After a relatively dry summer a year ago, the monsoon storms typical of Arizona have made repeated visits to Glendale and the rest of the West Valley. While the "haboob" of early July captured the national headlines, this week's dust storm rose 3,000 feet into the sky and swept across the Valley with wind gusts well over 50 miles per hour.
