Historic Crown King Saloon    It's a crAZy 27 mile drive to get to Crown King Saloon smack dab in the middle of nowhere.  It is the oldest continuous running saloon in AZ. You follow a dirt road with plenty of switchbacks and beautiful scenery.   Actually, it is almost right in the center of Arizona in the Bradshaw mountains. $2 Million in Gold in them thar hills! Now that I have your attention, prospectors started staking  out claims in the 1870's. IMPORTANT GAS UPDATE! Recently, a complaint filed with ADEQ resulted in an inspection by the Fire Marshall and some bad news for Crown King. We may soon be facing a no-gas situation in town. In order to comply with current Arizona Department of Environmental Quality regulations, the General Store will be required to replace the entire fuel delivery system at our store. Tank, lines, pump, everything! Obviously, a project of this size will take an inordinate amount of time and money to complete, especially in a remote location. Crown King may be WITHOUT GAS in as little as TWO WEEKS! If you need to be able to fill up in town in order to make a return trip down the hill, we suggest you call our store and check the gas availability before you make the trip. EVENT REMINDER! MEMORIAL DAY PARADE ON SUNDAY! Our apologies for the late reminder on the upcoming Memorial Day Parade - but if you can come, it is always an entertaining event. While it is the "WORLD'S SHORTEST" Memorial Day Parade, it can take quite a while for all of the floats (or quads or tractors!) to make their way up Main Street and back down Main Street.   This is an event that the whole family will love!
