It has been raining since 7 this morning, but it didn't ruin the happy day for my buyer who closed on her first home in West Memphis, Ar.!! A truly short SHORT SALE story in West Memphis Ar Short Sale, anyone who did one before knows there is nothing short about it.  I am not claiming to be a short sale specialist, we don't have enough short sales in our market to call it a niche, which is good actually. Dentistry From The Heart is taking place this Saturday on May 14 in West Memphis Ar The 2nd annual Dentistry from the Heart is going to take place at Dr. Brian Rhoads clinic this Saturday, May 14.  Several local dentists including Dr. Brian Rhoads, Dr. Daniel Bird, Dr. Lance Scarbrough, and Dr. Angela Davis, Dr. Richard Connell and others from across the states are going to offer free examinations, cleaning and extractions.  They had a huge success last year and it attracted 150 people gathered in front of Dr. Rhoads office early at 6:30 am and waiting for them to open!  They are expecting even more this year.  Over 100 volunteers will be on site to help around also, this is really a community event for a very great cause. 8th Annual Gumbo Festival is coming on April 16 in West Memphis Ar. Are you ready for some homemade gumbo?  Are you thinking of entering the contest? The 8th annual Gumbo Festival will be held on 4/16 from 12 noon to 9 pm for public to taste the delicious cooking of the contest from the three categories which include chicken wings, exotic meat, and gumbo, of course. While we are so busy celebrating the holidays, let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas-the celebration of birth of Jesus Christ.  I am not writing a religious post, but we need to remember Christmas is not about buying tons of Christmas gifts to our children and make them think that's the reason to look forward to celebrating Christmas. We can teach our kids to share the joy of Christmas by helping the less fortunate, after all, 'tis the season for giving.  It is so nice for a kid to learn how to help the others at a young age, it lasts forever, mostly anyway.   12/03/2010

Share the early Christmas joy at the Tree and Park lighting at Worthington Park in West Memphis Ar. The eyes of the kids were sparkling as the trees lighted up followed by fireworks immediately, you could hear the oohhs and aahhs everywhere.  Plenty of local residents came to watch the Christmas tree lightings in this calm cool night, and kids were waiting in line with their parents to take picture with Santa Claus while he was in town. St. Michael's Catholic School Annual Italian Spaghetti Supper The Annual St. Michael Catholic School Authentic Italian Spaghetti Supper is coming on November 6, 2010 from 5-8 pm. Ticket is on sale now for $10.00, you can either buy it advance or at the door.  I remember I didn't get the tickets until last minute at the school on the day of the supper. This is one of their annual fundraisers, and it always attracts a lot of people, people will start lining up outside the school cafeteria for the plate.  You can either dine in or take out, your choice.
