Georges Claude was born in Paris, France back in 1870. He studied at the Higher School of Physics and Industrial Chemistry of the City of Paris. After graduation, he held several positions as an electrical inspector in a cable factory. He founded and edited the magazine (The Electric Spark). In 1902, he along with Carl von Linde founded the (Air Liquid) company which is now headquartered in Paris, France. At a young age, he was against any democratic rule. In 1933, he joined the Action Francaise which was in favor of restoring a monarchy in France. He supported the German occupation of France publishing several papers in support of the Germans.
