Madison Animal Rescue Foundation Madison Alabama  Back in September I did a post about a no-kill shelter...Jane's No-Kill Non-Profit animal Rescue/Placement Organization to spread the word about the good they do.  Yesterday I was acquainted personally with the work that is being done by the Madison Animal Rescue Foundationor MARF and want to get the word out about them.  My experience was not because I adopted a pet or even visited their location.  My introduction to MARF was, however, because of an agent in my office.  Becky Wilson and her husband Greg who found out about a rescue dog that needed to be placed in a good home and they rose to the occasion...when you look at the dog they rescued I think it's pretty much a no brainer.  The dog is gentle and full of character. Just A Mellow Laid Back Friday With Otis...Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay I think we'll all remember "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding and co-written with Steve Cropper.  Dock of the Bayactually was about events in Reddings life at that time.  He actually did leave Georgia for San Francisco and wrote much of the "Dock of the Bay" lyrics while staying on a houseboat watching the ships come in and roll away again.  A couple of days after Reddings death Steve Cropper returned to the studio and finalized mixing and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" was released in January of 1968.
