So how many of you hate or love when people come knocking on your door only to try to sell you magazine subscriptions, carpet cleaning solutions or anything else that you may or may not care for? The Huntsville City Council would like to have commercial sales people and professional fundraisers to apply to the city for solicitation permits. They would have to provide current background reports including criminal history and ex-convicts and parolees would be automatically disqualified for the permit. Once the background check passed and an application fee paid, the solicitors would be given permits and photo identification tags.   January 2011 is over and it is almost hard to believe that the school year is half over. The Farley Elementary School District has so many exciting developments in the works from the new Fire Station No. 7 opening up just a walk away to all the new subdivisions either selling or just starting to break ground (Farley Farms). This is the place to look first and live! Autumn Ridge, Quail Ridge, Fleer Estates and Sandhurst are all established subdivisions. They have homes from 1000 sq.ft. up to 2600 sq.ft. Sandhurst is the original development, then Autumn Ridge/Quail Ridge and Fleer Estates. There are some wonderful designs with some very large yards (and lots of kids). Ashtynn Manor, Bell Grove Manor, Grand Lake and Renaissance are all new(er) subdivisions and have available home sites ...

      We are wanting to purchase a home. Do I need my own agent and/or can I negotiate a lower fee or price if I act as my own agent or use their agent? This has been something that has come up a lot lately with people I have worked with and know. This also goes for new construction. It is the seller pays the real estate commission, not the buyer, and real estate commissions are already set in the listing contract. It doesn't cost you anything extra to have your own agent represent you because the seller is already paying for it. If you don't have your own agent, the seller's agent will often represent both you and the seller as a "dual agent" or just represent the seller. Both sides MUST approve this arrangement in writing.
