I get alot of inquiries from people who want us to stage their home and pay for the staging after the home sells.  I have to explain to them, and sometimes to their agent, that because we are not part of sales contract, we are like any other third party who performs work on the home.  We get paid at the time of service/contract.  The home inspector is paid when they perform the inspection on the home, the appraiser is paid by the bank or sometimes by the seller if they use one prior to listing the home to find out the value, the termite company is paid by the home seller at the time of service/contract.
