If you ever visit the NW corner of Alabama, you are sure to see some "Welcome to The Shoals" signs. You will also see several businesses with "Shoals" in their name, for example "Shoals Pest Control" or "Shoals Lighting". In fact, in the phone book, there are approximately 125 Businesses or Associations with the word "Shoals" in their name. What you won't see, is an address for "Shoals". Or "The Shoals". If you are trying to get here, your GPS might not even recognize "The Shoals". He turns 61 tomorrow, and my 2 older sisters are counting on me t...

College Bomb Threat in Our Area Submitted by:Kimberly Grant, Huntville Realtor Huntsville Real EstateThe University of North Alabama shut down its campus following four anonymous bomb threats.  The threats were received by email and sparked authorities to begin searching buildings on campus.  UNA President William Cale decided to cancel classes around 11 a.m. when the fourth threat was received.  No bombs were found by authorities in building on or around the campus.  Summer enrollment is at a high this term and school officials did not want to take any chances with the lives of the students.  I personally am very thankful being that yours truly is a graduate student at UNA.  School should reopen on tomorrow and everything will be back to business as usual.Kimberly Grant Realtor, Exit L...
