Here is a great photo I took in Palmer Alaska last evening May 31st at 10:00pm.Some people that have never been to Alaska might think, is this really Alaska? Many of them say I thought Alaska was all snow and cold? And I always have to explain to them that Alaska has all 4 seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. In fact during the Summer months Alaska is green and beautify like this photo I took in Palmer Alaska 20 miles north of Anchorage. And yes this is Alaska at its finest ... ;o)

When we think of Fall Colors most of us assume the different colored leaves, yellows, oranges, reds and browns. But in Alaska and other parts of the world there are so many other plants that change color during the Fall months.Take a close look at this photo from Hatcher Pass Alaska that I took. During the Spring and Summer months all you see is green. But in this photo there are a rainbow or colors and none of them from leaves. All of the mountain sides in Alaska are a rainbow of colors that are totally breath taking and a photographers paradise ...

I am very sad to say that my wife Lin went into emergency last evening because she was feeling very sick. Lin waiting for around 10 hours to get a bed for her stay at the hospital. The doctors and nurses found out that Lin's blood pressure is very low, she has strep throat and some type of infection that has spread into her blood stream.Lin is the sweetest person and would do anything for anybody. With her happy festive presence it's very difficult to see her like this, and I wish everyone would pray for Lin's quick recovery. Here are a couple of wonderful photos of Lin in Alaska and she was so excited to have been able to drive her car on Big Lake is Alaska, she had never done this before ;o)

Is this really Planet Earth? I have been to some very strange looking places in my life but this area took me by surprise.Several years ago one of my nephews named Donny that lives in Alaska brought us up to Hatcher Pass located approx 20 miles north of Wasilla. There is a old historical abandoned mine at Hatcher Pass along with Red Cabins for snow skiing and winter activities. When we first arrived at Hatcher Pass I was snapping photos of the Red Cabins and mountains. Then my Donny said let's go to another place you really have to see ...So we drove up a dirt road up the mountain that peaks out and then leads down to the main road going to Fairbanks. When we got to the top of the pass Donny said if you take these hiking trails up around 2 miles you will come to several small mountain po...

Sunrise over Lucille Lake Wasilla Alaska by Robert Swetz     I finally was able to break away from work on Labor Day weekend and visit my family in Alaska. The last time I was in Alaska was in 2016 so you might understand my excitement being there again.   I am wrapping up a job in Silicon Valley in NorCal so it's very difficult for me to break away. I spent some quality time in Homer with my wife and we looked at some real estate.   On my visit I took many photographs and the photo above was taken at sunrise Labor Day morning on Lucille Lake in Wassilla Alaska 40 miles north of Anchorage.   The clouds were racing across the sky over Lucille Lake so I was taking many photos of the clouds reflecting across the water, so stay tuned for more photos.            Posted by Robert "Vegas Bob...

Wednesday, December 7, 2016 Big changes for Vegas Bob coming in 2017     Big changes for Vegas Bob coming in 2017   With 2017 coming around the corner Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has some BIG changes up his sleeve.  Vegas Bob is really getting tired of working construction, his body and intelligence are being tested everyday. And Vegas Bob is also getting tired of the Real Estate Industry, and enjoyed purchasing Real Estate for investments more than being a licensed agent.   Robert Swetz heart is in traveling, taking photographs and videos so much more than construction and or selling Real Estate. So time will tell and as Vegas Bob gets older, he is ready for change and will keep everyone updated on his latest changes ;o)      The photograph at the top of the page was taken by Robert Swetz o...

As far as the eye can see in Palmer Alaska by Robert Swetz In Palmer Alaska there is a turn off several miles north on the right hand side of the road. And every time I am in Alaska I have to stop and snap a couple of photographs. The view is so wide open that I can only get maybe 1/3 of the total view. And if I used a wide angle everything in the photo would look very small. So here is one photo looking out as far north as the eye can see from Palmer Alaska. Palmer Alaska by Robert Swetz 8/30/2016
