If I was to build a home it might look like thisWith just my wife and I we wouldn't need a very big home. And the home in this photo might just be that perfect home to build in Alaska. I like all the windows and being a glass installer (glazier) for 40 years all the windows in this home would be very cheap because I would install them.I also love the patio porch that goes around the whole home because when I build this home in Alaska this would be perfect for all the mountain views from our property.  09/25/2019

 My wife Lin is a gourmet cook as cooks many different dishes, from American dishes to Burmese, Chinese, Filipino and more.Here is a wonderful Halibut dish she cooked last evening with fresh halibut, fresh baby potatoes, carrots and onions grown in our garden in Alaska.This afternoon we will be eating spicy salmon and then once again different halibut dish ... yummy 😋😋😋 09/04/2019

That's right ... 30 days from today Vegas Bob will be flying into beautiful Alaska and spending time at one of his properties in Homer Alaska.The sunset in Alaska right now is around 11:00pm and one month from now the sun will be setting around 1:00am, so there will be plenty of sunlight to drive around and take photos like these.I had planned on staining my log home on my visit to Alaska. But my wife said because I have been working so hard and so many hrs that she wants me to relax.Let's see what happens and stay tuned because 30 days will go by very fast ... ;o) 05/11/2019

SLENDER MAN appears for Robert Vegas Bob Swetz and his wife in Anchor Point Alaska last evening.My wife and I drove to a great lookout in Anchor Point to watch the sunset. Demons - End of the World or Second Coming of Christ?At approx. 1:30am 1-24-2016 in Alaska my wife and I were woke up to the bed shaking all over the room, very similar to scenes from the movie The Exorcist and no it was not a honeymoon night.While my wife and I were waken by the Earth Quake she was saying out loud "Oh Jesus" ... "Praise Jesus"It was quite frightening and it lasted for around 2-3 minutes. Picture frames were shaking on the walls, flat screen TV's were rocking back and form and then we heard a bang come from upstairs. As I went upstairs I noticed a white candle and clear crystal cross broken on the floor, and when I looked up I saw another wood cross that was purchased from Jerusalem tipped over.It was quite a creepy feeling experiencing this Earth Quake. I have been in... 01/25/2016

         Lately Vegas Bob has noticed older members posting again and quite a few new members joining the Activerain network. And I think the number one reason is because Ben Kinney now owns the Activerain network, and he brought Bob Stewart back. Has anyone else noticed older members blogging again or more often then before?Has anyone else noticed quite a few new members at the Activerain network? What ever the reason may be for some old friends and faces appearing once again at Activerain and the new faces jumping aboard, Vegas Bob likes it. And I personally think the Activerain network is going to take a full swing and some great things are coming our way ;o)   07/21/2015

Mt Redoubt Volcano is Steaming.... Anchor Point Alaska   We had a pretty big earthquake the other day 6.7 on the Richter scale... the center was out in the ocean... but it might have woke the mountain up   She was puffing pretty good this morning and has been steady all day...  As long as it stays steam we are okay...   Hope it doesn't blow ash and ruin this beautiful Summer and Midnight Sunsets! 07/21/2010
