By Joan Cox, Denver Real Estate - Selling One Home at a Time
(House to Home, Inc. - Denver Real Estate - 720-231-6373)
In November, I showed a home to one of my investors, they wrote, and "heard" there were multiple offers, but the home was taken off the market, and the Seller decided to wait until the spring, and maybe she can get her desired price. My investor wanted me to contact either the agent or the Seller to see if by chance she would want to sell, and leave anything she wanted.   She is a hoarder, and could not see the floor, get out the slider to the deck, etc.  I found a few emails, so started by email, but after a couple of days, had no answer.  Found a cell and a home phone, so I called and made a verbal offer and assured her there would be a written offer to follow if she agreed. While listed, had spoken to the listing agent, and he said Zillow had been by before they discontinued buying ...

Some day I'll reach 3,000,000 points on ActiveRain. Or maybe I won't.Maybe I'll retire from real estate, stop blogging and quietly exit stage left or right before I gain the last 30,000 points needed.Considering some people here in the Rain will go to just about any length to add to their point total, how can I be so apathetic about points?Sure, once upon a time I did care about points. Driving to get that 500,000 points and the free account that comes with it motivated me.Gaining points and moving up the leaderboard motivated me.I'd max out weekly posts, daily comments and enter just about every contest that dangled the points carrot in front of me.Along the way I built a lot of relationships, some still thrive today, some not so much.  Some are here in the Rain, some have moved to Fac...

This is an excellent post with great information. Thanks for sharing it. Have a super fantastic week! Joe Jackson, Realtor-KWCP I saw a article in AARP about a lawsuit against the largest reverse mortgage lender, now settled, and I am wondering if you were aware of the lawsuit? I am in the age group that a reverse mortgage appeals to most. I have thought about it myself... but I stop when I think about how the reverse mortgage may affect my children. There is a good chance my son Timmothy may want to stay in this house many years after Carol and I pass on. Frankly I don't think the lawsuit is a big a deal and the court must not have either or the fine would have been a lot more than $1.3 million dollars. My take on this is I would not rule out doing business with this company due to the...

This is an excellent post with great information. Thanks for sharing it. Have a super fantastic week! While some remodeling projects will not require a permit, others will. Regardless, it is more than worth taking the time to do your research to ensure you do not run afoul of the law. A visi...
