Be warned; it is very catchy! So if you listen, you might be humming it all day. Check it out below! jingle – noun[a short verse or song marked by catchy repetition]Did you know that approximately 563 Kit Kat fingers are consumed every second? In 1986, junior copywriter Ken Shuldman wrote a catchy jingle for Kit Kat, which became a global phenomenon. That’s all I had to say and you’re already hearing that “give me a break...” tune in your head, aren’t you? A catchy song for your product, as cheesy as they often can be, do wonders for your advertising. Heck, it probably should be a little cheesy! People tend to remember songs that make them laugh or shake their heads, just as much as if they made them tap their feet. If you can manage to pull off all of that, then that’s lightning in a ...

As a Seller, you can impact the sale of your home during the home buying process in a positive way!Be Careful About Negotiations.  There are many good ways to negotiate . . . there are also poor ones.  I have had many classes on and am certified in negotiation.  You need to sit down with your real estate agent early in the process and determine your absolute bottom line selling price and anything you are or are not willing to talk with a potential buyer about.Be Careful About When You Sell.  You may already know that selling during the winter months will often get you a lower price for your home, especially if you have a steep driveway.  Selling your home in the Summer is a good time of year if you have an inground pool.  There are ideal tim...

Do you wonder why you see a home that you know is not larger than yours is listed as having square footage much bigger than you "know" that house really is in size?  Zillow and other website will combine the Above Grade Square Feet and the Below Grade Square Feet for a total number that is confusing and deceiving.  In PA and many other states, these numbers are required to be separated.  I have a tale of two basements in otherwise comparable houses. One is a finished basement with a den, bedroom, and full bathroom. The other basement has some drywall, an exposed toilet, and a painted floor.  The listing for the first house reflects the basement and number of bedrooms, including the one in the basement space, in its total square footage and price.  The second house only includes the squa...

So you may wonder why I would care if an older technology like the 3G Network bites the dust, after all my current phone uses the 5G network. The key for me is the word SECURITY in the headline above. I've been using an app (one of many) that let's you use your old phone as a security camera. However there are many apps you can use on your old phone to make phone calls even if your phone is NOT activated onto any network.Although this article was in our daily news paper I believe it originated with AARP.Here are the dates that the carriers will drop 3G service.

How Much Should I Plan to Spend on Renovations? The range for home renovation budgets varies just as much as home sale prices do. How much you spend on your renovations usually depends on two factors: what you’re renovating and how much you can afford. In the first step of your home renovation budget planning, we discussed prioritizing the areas of your home that you’d like to upgrade. With those priorities in place, you can begin estimating the cost for each part. Usually you can do this through a quick online search, by talking with your real estate agent or a trusted advisor, or by giving contractors a call directly. Then, once you have an estimate for each part of your renovation project, you’ll be closer to an estimate of how much your renovations are likely to cost overall. That’s wh...

You may be reading headlines and hearing talk about a potential housing bubble or a crash, but it’s important to understand that the data and expert opinions tell a different story. A recent survey from Pulsenomics asked over one hundred housing market experts and real estate economists if they believe the housing market is in a bubble. The results indicate most experts don’t think that’s the case (see graph below): As the graph shows, a strong majority (60%) said the real estate market is not currently in a bubble. In the same survey, experts give the following reasons why this isn’t like 2008:   The recent growth in home prices is because of demographics and low inventory Credit risks are low because underwriting and lending standards are sound If you’re concerned a crash may be co...
