My dad grew up in the South. Near Meridian Mississippi. Because of him, even though I grew up in San Diego, when I get tired or sick, I speak with a Southern accent. My grandma would cook me rabbit for lunch (which she killed that morning) and serve it with sweet tea. I learned that RC Cola and a Moon Pie is an acceptable meal. Thankful for Special Friends A long call tonight with a dear friend we have known and been close to for 27 years inspired this thankful post. We all have people in our lives that we consider friends…some more casual relationships than others but they are all important in our lives in a variety of ways nonetheless . But some friendships seem to be special in particular. It’s not necessarily the length of time, although some very special friendships have lasted for decades.
