Yes, but check it.  One of my numbers fell off.  Enforcement of the list has ALWAYS been a joke, even the FCC/FTC has said that.

That was fake news from day one. It exists, yet it does not exist.

The DNC - at State, Federal, whatever level - has always been a farce.

When Florida enacted the DNC, they went after a few companies for violations.  But that was years ago.  Nothing came of it; nothing will.

I am guessing that there is Will Hamm but regretfully I believe offenders don't care thinking that they will never be prosecuted for violating it.

As far as I know, the Do Not Call list is still in effect.

Do callers observe it, that is another question.

Yes, there is, but everyone knows there's no enforcement, so there is no point to it. I've blocked hundreds of calls, and I'm not receiving as many these days.

I am no longer active in real estate - there continues to be many aspects of the industry that I appreciate.  Of course, there are numerous things (like this question) are part of the past and not "missed".  Such things are good reminders.

I've gotten 6 already today, and had about 8 yesterday.  Extremely annoying.

Expert guidance. Exceptional results.

🤣 Oh Will, you’ve stumbled onto one of the great modern myths—right up there with Bigfoot, Atlantis, and the idea that your car warranty actually expired.

Yes, the “Do Not Call List” still exists. It’s alive, technically breathing, probably sipping a lukewarm cup of decaf in a government basement somewhere. But enforced? Let’s just say it’s about as effective as a screen door on a submarine.

📞 Here’s the comedy routine in progress:

- Phone companies are *required* to block spammers. That’s the law.

- Instead, they hand you a shiny “third-party app” that promises to protect you, but in reality is like hiring a mall cop with a kazoo to guard Fort Knox.

- Result? You still get calls from “Rachel at Card Services,” “Bob the Solar Panel Prophet,” and my personal favorite, “Your Car Warranty Department,” which somehow knows you drive a 2003 Toyota Corolla with 280,000 miles on it.

And your take? Spot on. The only way this circus stops is if the FCC grows a spine, grabs the big red button, and says:

“Dear telecom overlords, no more playing hide-and-seek with spam calls. Prove you can block them, or we’ll revoke your permission slip to operate. VOIPs included. No proof, no phone lines. Buh-bye.”

Until then, the “No Call List” is basically the “Please Call Me Anyway List.

So yes, Will, the list exists. But enforcement? Picture a sleepy hall monitor who lost their whistle. The FCC has the power to fix it, but until they do, we’re all stuck starring in the world’s longest-running prank show: Spam Call Idol.

Yes, but it doesn't seem to affect the amount of calls I get by being on it.

Well, I have to agree with all the other commenters. Yes, there is a list. No, it does not work - it is not enforced and many who make calls do not care.

The only one's that respect the DNC list are those that aren't spamming you in the first place.

It is a travesty that this still exists, an agency dedicated to punishing legitimate businesses while allowing politicians, fake charities, and other scammers to call as much as they want.

Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist nailed it. When it first came out I trained on proper usage of the list. As people became familiar with it they discovered exceptions for not paying a fine and more importantly how few people complain. in my opinion the savvy telephone guts and gals now use it as a source and are prepared to offer one of the excuses if caught.

Amazing how you elect people to represent us & they do everything except the work needed. No calls should be dealt with already & by now. iPhone does a good job with blocking which helps some. I pause on giving out my number & email & in today's day & age with tech, that shouldn't be Will

Will Hamm don't feel like the Lone Ranger we are all in the same boat.  We had someone in our community that was making a living out of suing our local agents and winning.
