I do have AOL as a junk email address I give when forced to provide an email address to do business with someone I don't care to work with again in the future. My internet provider does still make dial-up available but it's been decades since I've used it Fred Griffin Florida Real Estate .

Oh, wow, AOL? That’s like asking if I still send smoke signals or use carrier pigeons! Honestly, I thought no one had a landline anymore—unless it’s some secret superhero gadget for summoning the Bat-Signal.

And nope, I don’t use AOL or any dial-up service. My internet’s faster than a caffeinated cheetah on roller skates. But hey, if I wanted to experience the thrill of waiting five minutes for a single email to load, I’d totally dig out my old dial-up modem just for the nostalgia. Until then, I’ll stick with my modern, lightning-fast Wi-Fi—no buffering, no beeping, no “You've got Mail!” interruptions.

I have an AOL email address that I've had since the late 1980's/early 1990s. I'm not getting rid of it unless I have to. I use it when I purchase something so that's where the junk mail goes. But I access it the same as I do everything else - and that's not via dial-up.

I have had "brokermartin@aol.com" since the mid-90's and still use it to this day, but Aldo have a "g-mail" address I use rarely. Let's just say I am techie challenged.

I don't use dial-up service, but a couple of years or so ago, Verizon sent its email through AOL mail, and I do use AOL for that.

Home again, home again...

Well slap my ass and call me a dinosaur.  While I do have a business email (amay@jamesonsir.com) I also have an active aol account (almay@aol) that I still use and it hasn't been dial-up for decades.  I was an early adopter, when dial-up was screeching through the phone lines and they were charging me by the minute... my password is only a few digits.

My daughters make unrelenting fun of my aol account, but I have clients who love it... who also have aol accounts and appreciate that they are not alone.  I am not ashamed of my aol account... it is free, it has a huge amount of storage, and I do not have to clean it out at the end of every month and I've never been hacked (who would bother?) and am not forced to regularly change my password.  I 'literally' have emails that I can search that go back decades (and have)... every now and then I get a listing that I serviced 10 years ago, and I search my old emails very quickly to see our correspondence to remind me of idiosyncracies of the transaction.

So point and laugh all you want.  I love aol.  For the bulk of my business I use my JSIR account.  But I still use aol, and I'm proud of it.

My BFF just retired and still uses AOL (not the dial-up though)! I helped her set up her new Macbook Pro she got for her retirement and had to set up her AOL on her MacMail. Of course I had to give her a little grief for being so resistant to change!!
