I would not have time to sit and watch a podcast Ken Jones but it's nice to have the option to have one on in the background as I work.

Ditto to what Bob "RealMan" Timm said.

Having video is good, for lots of reasons.  But being able to walk away because you are doing other things at the time, and still hear it in the background, is preferable.  I don't want to be "glued" to the screen or forced to sit in a chair for the duration of the Podcast.

I suggest that if, at some point in the presentation, the Podcaster needs visuals to convey a point (e.g. showing charts or graphs, or a concrete example of something), they "announce" that video graphic by summoning the listener/viewer.

Say something like, "Here is a chart you will want to take a look at!" with a short pause to draw the Podcastee back to the screen.

The only podcast I've listened to had me in it! haha.

Seriously, I do not listen to podcasts, but if I did, I'd probably prefer audio - then I could listen anywhere and wouldn't have to be watching the screen also.

Audio only, the same with books recently, I listen to them when I walk, drive, or do my house/garden maintenance.

I personally listen to very few.  It is best to provide choices video and audio as people's schedules differ dramatically.  Most podcasts are one hour long versus videos that are 3 to 5 minutes or shorts/reels that are much less to catch attention

While like Nina Hollander, Broker, I am not a fan of either, I am leaning towards listening to some audio podcasts while excercising.

I prefer the video podcasts but, often put on my headset and move around, doing other things while I listen to them.

Depends on the pod cast.  Sometimes visual is needed, most times it is not.  I did always watch Bongino and I really miss him (visual was needed because he showed proof of his proven theories).  I listen to true crime when I drive.

Expert guidance. Exceptional results.

Honestly, I don’t listen to podcasts all that often, but when I do, I definitely prefer the audio-only format. It’s just so convenient—I can tune in while I’m on the go, whether I’m driving, walking, or doing chores. I find that video podcasts tend to demand more of my attention, and I usually prefer to keep it simple so I can absorb the content without being glued to a screen.

I’ve dabbled a bit in real estate-related podcasts here and there, but I wouldn’t say I listen regularly—more like whenever I stumble upon something interesting or have a little extra time in the car.

I listen to Marc Maron regularly and don't need to see him to enjoy the broadcast.  There is no need for video unless the subject matter need to be seen.

Neither. After so many years, I know what to do & if not, I ask. Don't need info & my attention span is down to relevant, useful, informative or entertaining.

Audio for me. I can listen while driving or puttering around the house. Video requires time to sit still, of which I have very little!
