Interesting as I can see the value, but how do we know it is real & not staged?

Most of my clients, if not all, are too private and would not do a video. I am thankful that some are willing to write one. 

Video testimonials have a place but also require lots of time. Time management becomes the issue. Authenticity is also a consideration in these times given the number of knock-offs available.

Honestly, I have so little time that surfing youtube and vimeo is just not on my to-do list, so I can't tell you what others are doing.  Testimonials are always important, I assume video versions would be as well, but I have enough spare time to catch up on my youtubes once every 2-3 months and then cherrypick the videos and topics of interest, so video is just not a medium I can sink my teeth into.  They can take five minutes to give their testimonial, I can read it in 1 and have far better retention.

With that said, I did get back to video walkthroughs yesterday.  Spent about an hour and a half filming and another 2.5-3 in post.  About 90% of what I wanted it to be, but for my first one in years and first one using a gimbal, it isn't bad.

I always thought about having people do video testimonials for me, yet I never actually did it.  I am pretty shy when it come to asking others to say good things about me.  I always feel that from my fruits, I will be known and that will be good enough for others.

The video is really nice, it would take lots of work and time to create one. I usually request reviews for my Google account. The only issue is that they have to have a Gmail otherwise they will not take the time to create a Gmail and I understand.  The one on one after the closing is the best for me. I would also not feel comfortable asking my buyers or sellers to become public figures. Privacy is a good thing since we have so little left.

This is a good idea.
