While we are seeing some alternative building solutions by some of the smarter people in the fire zones, still traditionally were seeing a lot of lumber. Yet most of our ADU are modular and assembled on site but built in shops. Even some of our mid-level apartment buildings going up right now are going up with timber instead of metals, but in the commercial world it’s all concrete, metal and glass.

Stick built by far Fred Griffin Florida Real Estate . In fact the only other I am familiar with is modular in our area.

Stick build seems to be most popular in my area since it is likely the most affordable way to build.  Builders seem to build as cheaply as they can, as close to each other as they can, and gouge consumers as much as they can, haha.

91% of Maine is wooded. And with four log home and cabin makers in Northern Maine, many cedar log homes spring up. Brick or stone, not the building material of choice. Modulars with cheaper Loonie come over from Canada. A few DIY back to the land off grid shipping container creations too happening.

Our community is still building traditional wood framed houses with concrete tile roofs.  The new homes are being built with smart technology.  There is a community built in the 90's with steal posts but it never took off here.

Custom built, some builders use factory built, then customize them. Solid masonry built has gone out of favor, and even brick veneer fronts are moving to all cement board or vinyl siding. Man made and thin cut stone has become more popular. Most basements are still poured concrete.
