I used to live near Atherton.  Funny story--  Back in 1986, I attended a wedding in Atherton.  I was doing residential mortgage banking for Security Pacific Bank.   The house was strangely vacant, and there was about 50 people in attendence.  I recognized a Realtor, who stayed in the Kitchen the whole time.  Months later, I read in the paper about a Realtor who was reported for renting out her vcant listing for weddings, apparent unbeknownst to the homeowner!  It was the same Realtor I saw in the kitchen, and apparently the neighbors notified the owners after all the cars had filled up the neighboring streets.  It was a beautiful home and a huge mansion.  I don't recall if the Realtor lost her license or was just disciplined.  Great little side hustle I guess!😃

I don't live in Atherton, Ca. which is about ten miles from where I do live. I have never done business there either. Closest I have come is to drive past that community to get to dinner in Palo Alto or some other Peninsula destination.
