I worked with buyers who needed specific numbers on the home, but eventually, they gave up on that since they couldn't find one, haha.

I haven't had any superstitious clients that I know of.

I had a listing on a house with the address of 1313 (which sold) and a buyer client that bought a condo with the address of 1313. Those two things were happening at the same time, so maybe 13 is my lucky number.

I am not super stitious, but I am a little stitious.   

I'm that buyer LOL

There are fixes for most of those things but it's better to not have to.

Fred Griffin Florida Real Estate - Yes I have! More than once. But the one most memorable was the one who was very superstitious about the direction and how the house faced. Soon, this person of mine said I have a very important trip to make. I must go back to my country. I'll let you know when I come back. Well, my Buyer came back and had a list of homes to see. When we resumed showings, the Buyer went into the trunk of the car and pulled out the oldest and heaviest ancient Compass I ever imagined could exist.

But wait... there's more. After we found the right listings, I learned there was superstition about the color inside the bedroom. Finally, I convinced the client in the big scheme of things, paint is rather cheap, and most people repaint when they move anyways. And to remember, negotiations on price can make a difference. Buyer agreed. But wait... there's more!

When the list got shorter, Buyer introduced me to Fung Shui (having to do a lot with positions of everything from pillows and bed, location of fire (kitchen stove, fireplace to swimming pools in the backyard or location within the community).

But wait.... there's more. Although the process was longer than usual, person who was living on a limited budget found (in buyer's opinion and without me) the perfect house. Perfect house was more than double of what the budget was set for, there were many things that didn't make sense anymore to me until.... 

Wait there's more! At the closing table Buyer said "I want the realtor's fee to come to me because REALTOR did not find my perfect house, I did!" Title Company's Escrow Officer looked the Buyer square in the eye and told Buyer compensation was between the Brokers before the closing and not between the buyer and seller at the closing table, and NOT on closing day when Sellers already closed or Buyer would be in beach of contract if (etc., etc.). Buyer agreed and it closed and funded.  

Be alert for black cats.

Home address numbers have to add up to a number that is lucky

Yes, a buyers' mother insisted on knowing if anyone had died in the house. An agent I knew "sensed" ghosts in some houses. 

my wife is one of the most superstitious people on the entire planet.

Happy Friday the 13th to you, Fred. 13 is my lucky number so I quite like this day. As for working with superstitious clients... the only issues I've dealt with are the number of the address of the house and the direction the house faces.

I think most people carry superstitions around with them

I had one client who LOVED a townhome until she found out the owner passed away in the house. This was a death attributed to natural causes, old age.

Lots! I have buyers who will not purchase on the 14th floor of any building and no homes near a cemetery; the direction of the home is extremely important. Any house that you open the front door and face steps. And then there is the fear of heights, elevators, and balconies. And they ask if anyone has ever died in the house.

My grandmother would tell me when I was a little girl. "Do not walk under a ladder" Well, what did I do, walk under the ladder. Nothing happen, so any superstitions are meaningless to me:) Katina

Yep, house must face E, not have a black door & a whole bunch of others.

I have worked with such buyers however not ever stated as a "superstition". 

Friday the 13th has been what I call a "lucky" day.  It still holds today.  

Nothing on the 13th or relating to 13, but had a home 20666, and was tougher to sell.

I had a client recently who did not want to close on a certain day. I have had numerous clients who checked the orientation of the entrance door. I have had others who did not want to live at at t-intersection or have a house with stairs that led directly to the front door. 

Cultural bias, not superstition. 

Feng Shui got me...I am selling beautiful townhomes that are selling out fast & all the Asian buyers loved them except where the front door did not comply with Feng Shui...They were torn they couldn't buy, I was perplexed

House numbers and the direction the front door is facing as well as the location of the landing of the stairs have all been issues. Most are international buyers who have the preferences and I don't question their cultural needs! 

My house is #13.
Hopefully won't be an issue when it's time to sell.

I wouldn't call them superstitious. They were either Feng Shui Masters or into Feng Shui.  I honored their believes and it always worked out well for them.

Yes I have several cultures superstitions I've been subject to over the years.

I've worked with some that have had the directional concern due to feng shui and their religion, but that was the extent of it.

The next closest was clients who would not transact business on the Sabbath.

I know of sellers and buyers who will use specific, odd "lucky numbers" to list or offer on homes.  And people who utilize St Joseph statutes to get their homes sold.

Yes, many times, especially if the client into Feng Shue or similar traditions.  I implemented simple rules in my own home ( entry direction, bed position, plants, etc. )

Right now I have a client who is checking a front door exposure and irregularity of the lot before we go to each house. I'm about to take a Feng Shue certification to have a deeper understanding of some basic rules. 

I have, but frankly they can't be more superstitious than me.  I have a list a mile long and I live by them.     I bought my business on a Thursday the 12th because I sure as hell wasn't closing on friday the 13th.   However 15 years later I did have my first date with my hubby on friday the 13th.

House facing East is used by certain religions throughout the year. Although I hear it less and less these days. Friday the 13th is just another day to me.

Two things have come up from time to time. Feng Shui and backing up to a cemetery. 

I don't usually pay attention to Friday the 13th and it hasn't been a factor in my life or career.  In fact, I didn't realized this was Friday the 13th until I read your post.
