Which is typical for the first week of July. It's going to cool off pretty soon as monsoon season kicks in, I will take 122 and 3% RH over 106 and 75% any day but I want my clover to grow in the backyard so bring the rain!

High temperature today is supposed to be 84 degrees.

We just returned from Nevada City, Ca. where we spent several days in 100 degree plus heat. The are supposed to hit 104 today.

The week before we were in Las Vegas where every days was over 100 degrees. Las Vegas is expecting a high of 117 today.

It's a dry heat right now. So when I say high's close to 115 or so it's not as hot as that sounds.  When the monsoon season starts the humidity goes up and it can be 102 and hot and sticky - yuck.  We live in AC buildings, cool off in the pool and appreciate that we don't suffer through -40 below in winter as some do back where I grew up. Yuck!

NOAA has a forecast of 89ºF for my area.

Dewpoint isn't too bad though, just 64º, which is pretty decent around here these days. While the humidity is nearly non-existent at 57%.

Did you know all of your weather apps (weatherbug, Weather Channel, Apple Weather, AccuWeather, etc) take the forecast from NOAA (free to everyone), and package it up into their own product and sell it back to the citizens for them to pay for it again...

It was only 95 degrees in NYC today- bad but not as bad as some other locations. Though if it makes any difference- we did have a meteor explode high over midtown just before lunch today. I didn't feel it in Upper Manhattan, but apparently those in Northern NJ felt it.

I was in the mountains for the July 4th weekend but I hear NC hit a record at 106 with a heat index of 118. 

It was pretty warm in the NC mountains but not as warm as Raleigh.
