Business numbers cannot be on the do not call list.

My phone number is known by those with whom I do business and that is all I care about.

I used my home phone number for business and I still get unwanted calls after 9 years of retirement.

Mine isn't listed as a business. It's the same cell phone number I had before I became a Realtor. A Realtor friend told me if you list your personal number as your business number, people can still solicit you. I have put my number on the DNC list and I still get tons of calls.

Have not done that, so unable to advise.

The DNC rules are full of exceptions and difficult to prove. So, basically, it is useless!

I have no idea.  I would not know where to register my number as a business. The social media sites I am on indicate a business.  

I haven't and won't.  I have an office line that can be forwarded to my phone.  I don't even put my cell on my signs.

I have had my cell phone number for 20+ years, and not sure how you register as a business.   I use it all over the Internet.

Only thing I have done was register it as a business with G. If you can't put your number on the DNC list it would be a hassle.

California real estate agent here, you can be more accessible to your clients with less “things” to manage, but it the number may also become compromised and you may receive spam or unwanted calls. Google business numbers can be a great option too.

I would say anyone that uses a phone number for business should register it as a business and promote the heck out of it.  The con would be getting too busy.

I will deal with a little spam (which my phone alerts me to when it rings) to let valid potential clients calls come through...any day of the week!

After over a decade of putting my numbers out on the net, I think that all who need to know should already know that these are my business numbers.
