This required a few tests because the regular way for putting a video on a post was not working for youtube shorts. (i.e. copying the URL and using the toolbar button to insert media on the AR blog editor) I also notice that the share button does not offer an "embed" choice, so that was a dead end. So what DOES work is this:
right click on your youtube short and choose "copy embed code"
on your AR blog post editor page, use the "source code" button to view the HTML and paste your embed code in there (it will be an iframe element)
exit your source code view
save your draft and preview and you should be good to go!

I never use the shorts but I uploaded a video to YouTube last night and it made it a short rather than a regular video, not sure why. I tried to put that on my blog as well without success so I am very happy that you asked this question and that the ultimate guru Craig Daniels came to our rescue yet again!!!

Ray Henson , for better SEO use the url and not the embed code. Plus short format is so narrow that unless you are displaying say 3, 4, it is a different application than the long form YouTube videos.
You should use the thumbnail for the short or long form with a link to the video. Looks cleaner too then some video embeds that lose resolution or were not 4K uploads.
Regardless, copy and the video option with embed or thumbnail / url link give your post visitor the option to read read or watch and listen.

It depends how you're going about it. Follow Craig Daniel's Instructions... this should oughta be helpful (he usually is).

Do you have a YouTube link to share so we can find them on YT?

I usually put them in <div> </div> and then usually change the size smaller.

Sorry to hear this, looks like Craigs suggestion of going with the old school code embedding is still working though.

It could be a browser issue. Sometimes when things just don't work right I try a different browser and that solves the problem.
