Not so bad, a balmy 8 below right now with 21 MPH wind gusts Will Hamm . (35 below with wind chill factored in this afternoon) Working around a little National Weather Service Blizzard warning. Scrubbed the video mission on a lake property. Too windy to fly the drone but crystal clear skies and sunshine today in Northern Maine. If you are cold, you are not dressed right. Skied across border in Canada last Sunday. Plan to snow shoe later today. This weekend is Moosestompers which is a celebration of winter. We don't hibernate in Maine.

Well you know, Will Hamm if we all drive electric vehicles, cook on electric stoves, and eat bugs, none of the "severe" weather would happen.

We are fine, thank you! It's beautifully crisp outside and sunny, the wind died down. No snow and we are safe. It's quite lovely by the fireplace. 

As cold weather is upon us we must be prepared to be safe and warm!  We finally have a warmer day today -- 25 degrees now but may approach up to 39 degrees later in the day.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention Will Hamm -- have a great weekend!

At midnight it was -9 F and made it to -15 F The boilers were working overtime, for sure. Sunday is to be headed towards +50 F and the 40s for the week

All good so far. My only concern was losing power during the night - we didn't.

This morning was -5F, now it's 12F - we're warming up fast.
It sure felt crazy cold with the wind, yesterday.

They say it hasn't been this cold around here since 1903. 

I headed to a listing appointment this morning & the car said it was -7.  Looking forward to tomorrow's heat wave of 39! 

which is why I live in the south.

Sounds like the worst is over and warmer weather is on the way.

A brisk winter can do an area a lot of good, important for so many processes in a Northern Ecosystem.

However it can be uncomfortable for both man and beast.

We hit minus 45 which is balmy compared to their minus 110 degrees - that's just stupid cold.  As long as you're dressed right, it is just winter at -45.

It was 29 when I left home this morning.  But it turned into a nice southern 50 degree afternoon.
