How about the Carlsbad Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K January 15, 2023?

We are within 12 hours if you take the Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, Phoenix Broker Jet, maybe even within a hour... Not sure what the Banana Jet's top speed is Ray Henson . Seriously,  Grandmas Marathon in Duluth MN is the best I know of.

I ran the REVEL Mt. Charleston half marathon, it's about an hour from the Vegas strip. They just have the full and half marathon, BUT, if there is a will, there is a way to set up a shorter race on the same course. REVEL has other courses that could be considered...RunRevel.com

we only have a fun run and 5K in my little town in GA in June.  This month in the town next to us we have a memorial 5K which my grandson finished first in his age group when he was 2 years old.  That boy has a LOT of energy.

It's not a half marathon, but just a 5 K and way way more than 11 hours from  you, but it's special and I should get my wife to write a post about it.

It maybe a bit further then you want to travel.  However a great race in March 2023 in Hamilton Ontario Canada...would be Around The Bay 30km, or shorter distances or done in relays. It is known to be the oldest distance race in North America...(Older Than Boston)..I think this year is 126 years running.  I'm actually planning to run it myself again...it's a real blast!  However the weather can be cold up here!!hahaha 🥶🤣

I've got nuttin' ... a race out of the State of California would be nice.

The Chicago Marathon is next Sunday but not within a 12 hour drive. Got nothing for the west coast.

24 Hours of Booty in our area, Ray! It's a LONG run for your folks but, maybe well worth an East vs. West...or a West-meets-East run?!!

Don't know of any outside of CA.  I assume there are some by the Grand Canyon.  I'm sure there's stuff in Vegas as well, just don't do it in the summer like the Baker to Vegas relay does.  Maybe Crater Lake in Oregon.  Just trying to think of destinations with nice views.  Utah I'm sure has some places to run near the national parks.

How about the Krispy Kreme Challenge for fun? There's actually quite a few races around here including the Sea to Mountains run but is sounds like we're probably too far away.
