I've used Bing and DuckDuckGo, which has to be the dumbest name ever.

Was not familiar with Freespoke, but at first glance it appears to be a metasearch engine (search aggregator), not a true search engine.

A metasearch engine gets data from one or more search engines.

Freespoke appears to be a metasearch engine with curated content injected into it.

I use Google 99% of the time but I also use Duck Duck Go Candice A. Donofrio . On very rare occasion I use Firefox. as well. Google has been very good for my business with it's many free apps.

Nope, I'll stick with the big G. I think that Ryan said years ago to give DuckDuck a go & I didn't like it. Haven't done a side by side search in awhile to see results.

Checked it out Candice A. Donofrio . Always interesting to see what populates that found page that can be so so different among any search engines. Try to go back and find a site and when it does not show up quickly is because you somehow got on Bing not Google, etc. I use the image, video search and not just to locate website urls.

Google Authenticator app replaced by Aegis Authenticator for 2FA.

LastPass password manager replaced by KeePassXC and Bitwarden.
File backup with FreeFileSync.
File encryption with VeraCrypt.
Image editing with IrfanView.
Audio/video playing with VLC Media Player.
Notepad text editor replaced by Notepad++.
Simple accounting for small business/nonprofit, free Wave Accounting.
Radeon RAM drive software to reduce wear on Samsung SSD.
No Big Tech cloud storage. SpiderOak encrypted cloud storage.
All of my WordPress blog posts are timestamped with hash values on the blockchain for copyright protection using free WordProof plugin.
To Do List:
Windows 10 Pro at end of MS support will be replaced by Linux.
Google Android phone will be replaced by Linux phone.

Do tech research. There are privacy-focused tools. Choose your tools wisely.
Also, use email aliases, not your real name.

The July 12 FreeSpoke press release gives the search engine mission and the background info of the founders.  Based in Chicago.

The May 26 Presearch press release gives the search engine mission and decentralized technology platform. Offices in Toronto, Canada, but it is decentralized with 65,000 community-run search nodes around the world. Users earn micro rewards for each search.

I have tried others (including Duck Duck Bing Duck Duck)... but have found them to be less than fabulous.

I wouldn't be interested in FreeSpoke 'cause it smacks too much of the former president's social media sounding thingie.  Not interested.

I'm late to the conversation here but I have stuck to Google. I have tried other search engines, but because I live in Hawaii, anything I searched for locally on the other search engines were tourist advertisement driven. Google had more specific results.

I used DDG for a short period of time, but found it to be...well, I didn't care much for it. Either Bing or Google typically. I did have one years ago that I really liked, but can't recall the name. I've tried many, but I just need to go somewhere and get what I'm looking for these days. I have too many kids running around to have to get into something new.
