Is this what you are referring to? My understanding is the update does not remove these apps so you have to check and see if you have any on your phone and manually remove them.

And I just checked, there is a new update for iphone/ipad so thank you for this. For some reason I am not getting the notifications next to the settings icon on the home screen so have to check manually.

NO WAY! That can't be true, Apple is supposed to be superior (as an OS that ONLY work on a proprietary) compare to Microsoft OS which has to work on ALL on the Open OS machines - LOL

I've been using Apple products since 1984. One of the early adopters.  I'm not worried.

the iphone and ipad operate under a different system than the computers.  As long as you don't download some random app, you should be safe.  I have my phone set to do auto updates whenever it's plugged into the wall.

This is not new. I would go thru all your apps & be sure some downloads weren't slipped in there. CNET did a blast on this on which apps are the bad guys.

Seems like a pretty easy thing to hack considering all the crap that people download from facebook and the many games that they play.

Phone and ipad updated. Thanks for the warning! Seems we always have to stay on our toes, perhaps more so all the time.

Another reason not to use apple.  Like most things with Apple, we've probably had this patch for a couple years now.  LOL!

My wife just read that this morning in the news, it didn't state who was doing the hacking. There is a update in settings on the phone.

I'm an apple user and Apple did NOT release anything about it, so.... it was just another media made up attention grabber.
