       Our friend is flying back to the United States from India today.  She is a jet-setter; she told my wife she has been through it before, and will tough it out if problems arise.

I'd get trip insurance, that's for sure!

We are going on a trip where we have to fly in a day before we embark in October. Yes, I am worried. Leaving just enough time to drive, if necessary, but not happy about the current circumstances. What did the airlines do with all the bail-out money provided? Guess they became comfortable with the welfare and working again is not in the cards!

Things are very curious Will Hamm Since covid we are 80,000 truckers short, we don't have enough pilots, jobs are not being filled, and there are not enough longshoremen to unload cargo ships. etc, etc, etc No I'm not worried about flying because I won't be flying.

I wouldn't be worried per se, but I would have backup plans. We may be flying somewhere later this year and based on the experiences of others, I have no desire to do so.

yes I would. I think someone should get after these airlines for making all those reservations, take $$ from people & then don't deliver. 

Yes, many, many flights were canceled and yes you should be concerned. It's a mess out there. Have a plan B.

Yes, what a freakin shitshow . . . if you're gonna do it, make sure and have a couple of backup plans!

No. Seems you are informed of delays and cancellations so I have to presume you have made your flight plans with eyes wide open. 

I am far more worried about the cause of the madness. We will leave it at that!

Yes! My son, daughter, and my daughters suiter all had cancelled flights last week. My advice is to be ready to look for connecting flights and be very quick to beat the other passengers to alternative flights should yours be cancelled. Tina and Timmothy came out of it well BUT Tina's boyfriend spent two full days/nights in airports. The airline gave him a hotel voucher and when he got to the hotel they did not honor it. He also said that had he decided to get one on his own he would pay about $400. dollars for the room PLUS the cost of Uber.

Not worried, however be prepared for a few more days on your trip.

I am glad that we are not traveling by plane this month. 

It isn't the first time lots of flights have been cancelled. You just need to be prepared in case you get stuck. Take extra meds, clothes, toothbrush, etc on the flight with you. Almost every flight I've had since the beginning of the pandemic has had delays of some kind. I hope the airlines can get it together. It is a great opportunity for one to outshine the others.
