No, holiday weekends are busy along the River HOWEVER I do no new intake on holiday weekends . . . if you didn't come into town to buy this weekend, you can wait till you make a dedicated trip! Lots of bored lookies, the new agents can have them!

We typically see a break during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Being so close to the beaches and the mountains many people head out of town. However, I saw a lot of new homes come on the market this weekend. I don't have any buyers trying to view homes over the weekend. 

I do not, Will.  In my market, San Jose - Silicon Valley California the market remains strong. 

Are you referring to holidays in general or more specifically the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend?

Sellers are selling. 

Buyers are buying. 

It is mixed messages here in Elk Grove between really strong seller's market or just a seller's market depending on who you talk to about it.  We have more inventory, but homes priced correctly still go quickly.

No slowdown here in florida.  its a big weekend.

I like Bob Crane's comment. I put two new listings in the MLS and already have showings scheduled. And of course, with my Sunday radio show, slowing down is not in the cards. I love that I have control of my business and I am wonderfully busy. 

The opposite Will Hamm We're REALTORS, we work when others are available and are off the clock, on vacation. Lake properties when it is hot and summer all around you makes the phone rings for waterfront. Lots of folks want to buy a farm property so kinda busy all the time. Like it that way.

Yes, and I did the last 5 years. I decided in 2017 to track all holiday weekends so I could avoid the ones that were bad for new listings. In San Diego, the 3 holidays of summer are dead weekends for showings and open houses. We're either at the beach, hiking, traveling or doing some other non-real estate activity as a county.

Typically it can.  Time will tell for this year.

Not here in southern Utah. I put a listing under contract and 2 agents now want to schedule a showing.

Being retired from real estate and a full time babysitter, there is no rest or time off for the holidays. My buddy and I continue to hang!

I had a Contract accepted today - now, it's not a holiday but, it's a holiday weekend! Monday, I will NOT be busy because I will NOT be scheduling anything that day.

Less clients but higher success rate for motivated ones.

Holidays were usually good for me Will Hamm as people had time to look at homes and the Sellers we happy to have showings while they were not home/in the way.
