Size does matter but then again i am talking in generalities. I am sure some one will share the rules. I have had the same problems but forget the work arounds.

We cannot have any characters in the file name. Rename the photo and try it again.

Hi Norbert- I have received those on occasion. I restrict the width of my photos to under 600 if that helps. Also if you want to upload a feature photo see the post from Debe Maxwell, CRS

Select the width. 600 is probably the maximum that you would use in a blog. The height will automatically adjust when you select the width.

Can't tell you how I go about it but I do limit the size of the picture when I have had that issue

It's all in the file name, it will not tolerate any punctuation marks in the name.

Size could be an issue (I upload 800 x 600 px all the time and resize for the post depending on how I want to use it). But if there are any characters in the file name other than letters or number such as # or / it will not load. JPEGs should work.

Never heard of what you mentioned here. I would said photo width should be no more than 700 px. Don't get why your software won't resize for you.
AR has a few quirks like the photo name cannot have any weird charcters in it like _%^& or won't load at all.
In fact, once it is in the file manager you can resize it there but only do one side at a time & let the other populate. Ex here was a 300 px & I just lowered the width to 200px.

My photos/videos won't upload at all. When I try to, the screen just sits there and does nothing. I've had AR for more than 15 years and now it's now not working.
