It's all about personal preference. I chose leathered granite for my own kitchen, but I also think concrete is an interesting possibility for counters!

It all depends on the people's taste and preference.  I'd add in marble to the mix as well as a few other options.

Quartz, cement, resin. However, no one has EVER asked my advice regarding their countertop Delima.
With so much of life moving outdoors, the practical choices should reflect these environmental realities.

It's a personal choice. Quartz has been the #1 choice here for a number of years already... but I think that granite will never go out of style.

Depends on your personal preference. I have both and prefer quartz but my granite is nice too. They both hold up and look nice. I like the quartz because it is white. I have a gorgeous black granite but it shows everything.

Although choosing quartz vs granite (or any other countertop ... it is very personal.  I am seeing the most popular trend today is quartz.

I like quartz better than granite, but corian is what I will always put in my own kitchen.  And marble in the bathroom.

It depends if you don't have heat pads and will clean liquid at a reasonable pace granite. If you or a tenant will get heat pads for pans and leave spills on counter tops, quartz. Quartz looks better to me however it's the more expensive option between the 2.

For our last kitchen remodel we used granite, but there are all kinds of solid surface options, and it's really a personal preference. Far be it from me to recommend something in particular to someone.

We went with Quartz (the concrete look) in our modern kitchen and it is trending the last 5 years in San Diego, I see it way more than Granite - which means it has about 5 years to go before it's something else LOL.
