6,000 posts is far too many for what? I've been posting for about 11 years and I have well over 4,000 posts... that's about one post a day, on average. Is that too many? However, the real question is what is your question? And why do you care about someone else's "production?"

Does it really affect you how many posts somebody puts out? As I see it it is none of my business.  I can read them,, not read them, delete them if I am following them and they annoy me.  You are in charge!  As I see it, it is none of my business.  While focusing of what you do not like, you are missing so many posts from so many wonderful bloggers and some many wonderful people...Amen!  LOL A

A lot of "it depends".  Spread out over a career in the Rain, 6,000 isn't that much IF the time here is long enough (E.g. I'm over 4400, but that was a post a day for 10 years straight, plus some extra here and there prior to that streak). 

On the other hand we had people recently blasting 50 pages worth of blog roll in one day.  That type of posting destroys the site integrity and the ability of others to actively participate, thus the 10 per 24 hour daily limit that was implemented recently.    Personally, I'm glad to see the limit as we have the opportunity to get some of the "social" back into this place.

In one sitting, I agree, but if done over over 2 decades, it's less than one post per day.

Basically, that's how many a 19 year to 20 year AR member (or blogger in general) could easily average by now.

Not really.  Depends on the length of time.  This site has been around a LONG time.  6,000 in 10+ years, that's not a lot at all.  That's 600/yr or less than 2 per day.

 

I invite you to look at the leaderboard.  There are people there with over 20,000 blogs written.

At one time? Over the course of a week? A month? A year. Many have over 4,000 spread over 10 years or more. Roy Kelley has over 21,000 spread over multiple years.

Far too many for what?! Depends on the time frame you are referencing, and the nature of the posts. I resemble that remark, with over 6000 posts here on AR since I started writing 15+ years ago. And there are some other bloggers here who have exceed 6000 posts.

But if they are copy and paste posts with a few words changed, what value is that?!

Nice to meet you, if you have called them several times maybe they have a shortage of workers, are sick, and you should contact someone else.  Always have a backup vendor, as time is money. Hope this helps.
