Listings used to have more special functionality on the site that I believe is no longer integrated into the system. When you set the topic to "listings" you get additional fields for "full address" and "display until". It is probably related to those fields that might no longer be used that is causing an error. A bug report on this has been now submitted to the dev team. Meanwhile, I would just show these posts as topic = "home selling".

It looks like the mystery is solved .. that is linking to the outside blog which if you do not have it, or if it is not working, will trigger an error.

This is a new one for me too.  Thank you for asking the question.  And thank you, Craig Daniels for the tip to use home selling.  I do wonder if it would be possible and worthwhile to fix the address portion of the listing topic.

Kerry, when you choose "Listings" when choosing the TOPIC, that function no longer works. You have to choose "Home Buying" or "Home Selling." We may need to do away with that category if it's not going to be revivied after nearly a decade!
