Will - only you know what the right answer is for you and your family. I'm sure your decision will take into account her level of illness, quarantine rules, vaccination status, etc. I have a feeling you already know what the answer is!

Will Hamm, I am so sorry to hear your daughter has covid.  My prayers go out to her and the family. I would never be one to tell someone else what they should do ...other than following your inner knowing. Only you know what you need to do. 

Hi Will- as Kat Palmiotti said, you're the only one that can answer that. But I know there are so many things you must be weighing such as how ill she is or feels and if between now and when you plan to go, anyone else in her family should become ill. I know that you'll do what's good for you and your whole family.

If they just were diagnosed don't they have to quarantine for 2-weeks?

My husband and I had Covid. We were in quarantine for more than 2 weeks even though I had light sympthoms. 

I'd say stay home until she recovers. Sorry to hear this.

I wouldn't go visit until she has been deemed clear from Covid-19.  I'd visit as soon as possible.  God Bless Her.

I'm no doctor BUT I did stay at a holiday inn express last night --- and I still don't think your proper answer is going to be found on the internet.

You should follow the guidelines to protect yourself and your family. I hope all of you are vaccinated.

Hope you're vaccinated, whatever you do. Might be best to put off the visit so as not to bring the bug back with you and possibly infect many others.

First, I am sorry to hear that your daughter has COVID. I hope she has a mild case and recovers quickly. There are so many factors that come into play (your heath, her health, guidelines, etc.) when making htat decision. I just went through a similar scenario and decided against the trip. It was the right decision for me as others in the household became infected while I would have been around them. My main reasoning for not going was to not potentially carry it back to others that were higher risk. I don't know if I would have, but it was absolutely contageous while I would have been there.

Sorry to hear the news. Most of the people I know who have contracted COVID were told to isolate for 15 days (which would push her eligibilty for visitors beyond 9/2). Wishing her a speedy recovery!

when my daughter had covid my wife and I were the care takers of her toddler, who eventually shared the covid with us so we all had it, but thankfully none of us were sick enough to require hospitalization athough my daughter was in the hospital for two days to have a baby while she had it.
