I tend to call my inside water dispensers a faucet
My outside water dispensers are a spigot.

it's a sillcock

if you can connect a garden hose to it, it's a spigot.
My garden hose will not connect to my kitchen faucet or laundry tub faucet.

No matter what it is called, it performs the same function and you know to  what they are making reference.

spigot and hose bibb or both correct.  Every hose bibb is a spigot, but not every spigot is a hose bibb.

hose bibb (and I'm a builder)  And while spigot (technically) isn't wrong, a spigot can also be the plastic spout on my igloo cooler I fill with ice water each morning and a hose bibb is what I refer to as the "spigot" that will attach a water hose on a new house when I talk to the plumber about location.

I've always called them a bib.

Wow, now you have me wondering, I call the outside a Spitgot.

I have called it a hose bibb my whole life so I'm sticking with that whether right or wrong.

When it needs fixing...it does not matter what you call it.

My choice would be the most competent licensed plumber...no matter how they spelled it.
