Many many Moons ago, the one and only time I allowed a Buyer into my car was when she had arrived by train from Toronto.  We had looked at 2 properties in town and there was one more just on the outskirts.  As soon as we left the highway she starts to go into hysterics, screaming and crying and demanding we stop. Apparently, she had never been off paved roads before and the gravel road freaked her out.  She walked in the ditch back to the paved road before she would get back into the car.  I was sooooo tempted to leave her there.

I did not bodily kick anyone out, but I did stop the showing in the middle of the day and said I could not continue working with them.

The story:

I was driving one car...wife was with me.  Husband was following in another car.  I had several really nice homes on the list.

I got the first clue when we stopped to get through the guard gate.  Wife was looking behind her and started laughing...the husband was flipping us the middle finger. (don't know why)

First house he told the owners how awful the house was...second house he loudly criticized the house so the owners could hear.

The third house he came outside and told me what "crap"  I showed him.  I told him he was right and  that all the other properties that remained to show him were such crap, that I am not going to waste his time showing it to him.

I got in my car and left...the wife called me several times and left messages about looking at homes...I did not respond...ever.

The only "crap" that day was the husband...and the wife thought she was lucky to have snagged such a prize husband.

That would be a hard No.

It is not in my nature to allow emotions, mine of others, to cause me to kick anyone out of anywhere.

I simply terminate the relationship in an adult and professional manner.

I am in the camp of working with people that I hug. Life is so much better that way.

I have not kicked a buyer out of my truck...so far!  I have been lucky.  The closest I ever came to giving up on a client was very early in my career.  The buyer brought his brother, parents and grandparents with him to every viewing and each one had a different idea for the home from fixer all the way to perfectly move in ready.  They really wanted a perfectly move in ready home at a fixer price.  It was during the Great Recession and homes were available to show all over the place.  I completely lost track of how many homes I showed them, but it was A LOT!  They were so nice, though and we did finally find them a great home.

Lol, I don't want to be the fourth either!  Heck, I don't even want to be first in line.

Violins are never the only answer.  That goes for violence as well.   Yes, I'm sticking to it - despite rumors "out there" to the contrary.

Back in the day when you drove Buyers to showings, I remember turning around, driving back to the office as fast as possible to get rid of a couple.

But unlike Ken, no, I have not put them out on the street.

I'm a hugger, not a kicker!

I will admit to taking buyers who would not stop fighting in my car, back to the office and told them when they could be civil to one another to call me. If fighting was an ongoing issue, they would probably want to reach out to someone else to work with them.

The next day, I arrived at the office to flowers having been delievered with one of the nicest notes I've ever received, asking for my 'forgiveness' and for a second chance the following weekend. They never, not ONCE, fought in front of me again.

We still, to this day, laugh about that incident. They have said many times that they would have done exactly what I did! LOL

It's been a long time since I've had buyers in my vehicle and then it was people I knew and trusted already.  Pre-covid we just had people follow us, as they often had their family with them with car seats and such.  Cuts down on the ability to drill down into what they're looking for and how they liked the property, but it still works.

I've never bodily kicked anyone out of my vehicle.  However, during a bluetooth car speaker conversation with a neurotic, anxiety ridden client who would not shut up and never got a clue I was attempting to end the conversation ten times, my husband used hand gestures to get me to pull over.  He got out and walked the remaining two blocks home.  When I got home he said, "I couldn't take that guy anymore.  How do you deal with this crap?"

Unfortunately yes! The wife told the husbnd that they should call her cousin to put in an offer. Pulled over at a 7-11 and said let's get some water. They exited the car and I drove away! I was not that thirsty! Many moons ago!

I've not had any I would body kick out of my car. If I did, you would know they were a bad egg. I did have buyers once tell me about how they sues different people. Cross your Ts and dot your i's people! I did fire one seller who scared me. Overall, if I didn't have a good feeling about someone, I didn't work with them.

Yes. I had a full day's showings and asked the buyer to sign the buyer broker agreement because we had been working together long enough to create a trust relationship.

She said "No", that she was also working with another agent in the area. I replied that the 'Home Tour' was over and told her and the sister to quickly get out of my car.

We were done!
