Whether it is "Houzz" "Pinterest" or even "ActiveRain" there will be those who find "value" in any given site while other find them either worthless or not worth the effort.  To me, that's just the way it is. I have never tried the first two but certainly have collected a growing list of sites where "True Value" was never there or gone awry.

Used to hang out on Houzz but not really for SEO. It's like an online decorating magazine.

Pinterest I've used for awhile & I get great interest on it. No business from it though that I can track down.

I've used both over the years.  Can't say either of them (or other similar sites) have lead to any closed deals or even any showings.  It's been years since I've even logged in to pin or insta.

I do not have a Houzz account.  I do have Pinterest and hae not seen any return and rarely post.  I do get returns on AR!😎 I have referred and been referred for residential and commercial property sales.  I have had a direct buyer call me to purchase an apartment building in the distance past.

If I sold homes primarily, I might have a presence on Pinterest. I hate that you have to sign in etc  . . . Houzz that is for design ideas really . . .

You are likely to get better ROI 'somewhere else'

I do not, simply no time for trial and error. My best results still come from posting my AR blogs on facebook. It is great exposure and works well at getting new sellers and buyers while reminding others what i do

I do have an account with Pinterest and enjoy Houzz's articles but am not participating in either. Too many online offerings and I can only consistently be a part of a few to be effective. They are not my top 3 choices Fred.

I do not use Houzz.

I set up a Pinterest account years ago ... and I do not use it.

If it ain't broke ... there is nothing that needs fixing. What I am doing is driving business so that is where I focus and spend my time.

There are so many options regarding where a business person can spend their money and time. It is the latter componet that will determine usccess.
My most enduring effort has been local engagement on Facebook and that is where I spend my dollars also.
My suggestion to agents who want to improve the loyaty of existing customer and draw closer to those they ahave access to, using SM is the one-way message. This is easier today because so many splatter everything they do on SM. There is a reason for that. So feed their need for your purpose.
This is not a DFU strategy meaning most agents will not stick with it long enough to make a difference therefore no SEO, no ROI, no Success.
Pinterest and Houzz are simply tools to implement strategy that has purpose. If the purpose is viewed as 'GET MORE BUSINESS" is a faulty purpose, that is an OUTCOME.
A good purpose would be to edify 5 people a day.
SM presents a playground to work one's magic. Pinterest more so than houzz but neither as good as Facebook.

No and no.  I market to our local sphere which has been our strategy for many years.  I simply don't have time, not do I think it's worthwhile to hire someone to do it all for me. Do what works for oneself I say.

Yes, I use Pinterest and get about 200,000 pv/month just from Pinterest. And, yes, it speeds up the SEO on my articles...if I have SEO optimized articles.

I earn money from my blog, so all they need to do is visit my site and I earn money.

I have not found Houzz that helpful, but I would occasionally get some leads and customers from there. But, they were rare.

I have both - Both are close to useless. Houzz just basically spams. Pinterest had some benefit if used properly, but I lost interest in it. There's Pinterest for persaol stuff and Pinterest for Business.

Like most platforms, does it work ties in with how you use it. Like blogging, if you don't consistency do it and make it worthwhile, no. It won't work. And experts on what you should or should not do. Those with success rave about it, those not using it tout it as a waste of time. In your market, from your experience, you will know Fred Griffin Tallahassee Real Estate whether it is worth your ROI time. Pinterest works for me. But not bashing anyone not using it. Youtube, blogging all go hand in hand with how we cross pollenate the media streams.

I'm using Pinterest and was invited to a couple summits. I get 540000 hits a month. I get deals from it. I'm not "advertising" at all. I share some of my own content and create some just for Pinterest about things I enjoy. Social media shifts and morpfs and so do I.  I opened a Houzz account, but haven't done a thing there. https://www.pinterest.com/carolinegerardo/_created/
