Well here's the thing.  You're anonymous, but not to Staff level, so hello $$$$$!
You want a feature?  Mail $10,000 to the ActiveRain Member Support Retirement Fund.  I can guarantee the feature won't give you additional business.

However, here's what I do see when I look at your blog.  You're writing straight to the consumer with specific information that has potential to cause your phone to ring.  Keep doing that, it's far better for your wallet than pursuing a gold star in the Rain.

Secondly, because you're writing to the consumer, you're also not writing what tends to attract the Gold Star.  As others have mentioned, something of broad appeal to the ActiveRain community is more likely to get the gold star.

As others have noted, a check, made payable to "Feature Fairy, c/o ActiveRain" usually does the trick.

If you used your name those looking at your profile could offer some tips.

 

The blogs I've had featured are usually current events, op-eds on the industry, news about mortgage stuff that isn't common knowledge, or pieces written to help others in ActiveRain.  

 

Noteworthy though is as cool as the feature is, it's often the blogs that don't get featured that have the best results in your business.

What goes into attracting the Feature Faeries has been an evergreen topic in the rain.  Typically it's a post that appeals to a broad group of people, with proper spelling, good graphics, and not a huge grey wall of words.

But even then, it's hard to tell if you'll be featured.   Sometimes it's because you wrote a wonderful post, and sometimes, it would seem, as though the Feature Faeries have over-imbibed.

Interesting question, if I had asked it I would have used my name though.

One thing that I have learned over the years is that features are a bit over rated, even the 6 people that get a disproportion of them dont really get that excited about them.

Just keep doing whatever you are doing to earn money here on AR, and if a feature is really that important then now you know where to send the money.

And dont forget to send a check to my mailbox as well.
