 My reply:

Dear Agent:  "Thanks for your inquiry, but that information is confidential; I don't have the right to disclose those agents' names.

If you aren't getting showings, take another look at your listing.  Is it priced right?  Are there obstacles to showing?  Can you think of any other reason that your listing isn't getting activity?

Every best wish to you and your Seller."

  Regards, Fred Griffin

-------------------------------------

Then maybe, as a courtesy, I would drop a line to those agents whose offers didn't get accepted.  Let them know you were asked for their names, but didn't give them out.  Who knows, you might generate some good will and build or strengthen some relationships.

I would not have the time to do so even if I would or could.

That agent is overpriced if she/he is not getting turnout.

Inviting more to view an overpriced condo is a waste of time.

Likely, those she/he seeks already saw it in the MLS and passed.

A simple NO will suffice. The responsibility of getting a property sold is the listing agent's, not yours or everyone else in the MLS. Wow!

Home is where the hearth is.

If it was someone I liked and respected, I would tell them that I'd reach out to those agents, and let them know that she was looking to talk to them, and I'd tell them why.

If they wanted to talk to them, I'll leave it up to those agents to contact them.

The response by Fred Griffin Tallahassee Real Estate was excellent.

Following his suggestions preserves the confidentiality of those who showed the property and those who wrote offers. (I am not sure why that information is deemed confidential.) At the same time, agents who have clients who showed interest in the similar property can be given a heads-up.

I might send the email to the agents who showed the property with a note that they could contact her directly if interested. And a note back to the agent who sent the email letting her know that's what I did. That might take 10 minutes. I could do that to help out a fellow agent.

Of course, if she's not getting activity in today's crazy market, there's a reason. But she's not ready to see that yet.

Some big cajoles there on that agent! We have something in our MLS that would help them by just flipping on a switch. They should investigate that instead of insisting on your help.

If you did still have a buyer that was interested in that area, the MLS would help you & could just show the house.

I'm sure there are other problems why the house isn't getting shown. Pics, description, etc.

My response would be, "Wish you had contacted me BEFORE it was put on the market. If a buyer is interested in '123 Main' I will set up a showing. Best of success."

Ah, no. Certainly not without permission. They can do their research and see who has listed and sold in the area and send emails. Maybe the price is an issue, given the market!

There is a learning curve in this business. My suggestion is to make YOUR listing the #1 competitor by doing whatever you believe that might take to get it SOLD. There's no easy road to take.

I'd just say I can't share without permission, and mention that those same agents that showed my listing can see and find your listing in the MLS and will show it if they're interested.

Most likely, I'd just delete the email or reply with "Oh, sorry wish I could help but company policy prevents disclsoure of that information."

Keep the good will up, just in case you ever have a buyer for one of their listings.

I also would not disclose any contact information but I would certainly acknowledge the email and respond briefly. I'd probably take a moment to help out - how much depends on who the agent is - and possibly set up a showing to take a peek.

Who do I know who could be interested in this condo? I'd wonder b/c it sounds like a lack of interest and no competitive offers! In this market, this could be a win-win-win .. helping out a fellow agent and potentially scoring a deal for my buyer.

I have shared contact information of other agents if I had a listing in a neighborhood that got multiple offers.   It's a business of cooperation.  I like working in an industry where we see it that way.

However, if I had another listing coming up likely to be competing with hers, I would have to prioritize my own listing over hers and wish her well.
