Yes, the mail is very, very slow! I just received today some weekly publications dated November 27 and December 18.

I do not do bulk mailings. What I mail seems to get to the recipients in a reasonable amount of time.
I do receive mail that is damaged ... at least it gets delivered.

I have not sent any bulk mail but 1st class individual mail seemed to arrive at the USPS typical 7 day speed for local mail.
I did place at order at Home Depot and another on BangGood.com for direct shipment of the super miter fence from the factory in China.
I am ashamed to say the Slow Boat from China arrived first. Not joking.
I am glad your contacts have 75% of a calander to use.

It does seem to be slower but I have not had an experience like that. It's taking about two weeks from Canada but that's pretty normal for Canadian mail.

I have not noticed this year but remembered last year it took about 5 or 6 months for me to receive a mail from Belgium.

First class mail is so slow. I think the mail-in election killed it.

If you sent it first class you should file a complaint.

The post office put out an announcement they have been running behind due to the severe winter weather this year

No, I've been seeing normal to above average performance with SoCal mail.

I found December & January particularly bad, but for me at least, things have normalized again. My daughter even received a birthday card from Germany today that was mailed 2 weeks ago - that's much faster than the 7 weeks it took for our Christmas mail to arrive.
Because of the postal mess, I didn't send snail mail to clients this last Holiday. I did remind all to watch their mail-in bill payments, switch to electronic or drop checks in the mail super early. One of my friends just received her electric bill from November!

Locally sent mailings aren't so much the issue. Items mailed outside of our tri-county area, yes, but it's getting better. I did see some people this week receive items they ordered for Christmas. Yikes!

I've heard their countless excuses when I'm at the post office and others come in to complain that the fast shipping they paid for still is in transit...

My son lives 5 city blocks from me. I can see his windows from my south balcony. He mailed Christmas cards around December 4th. We got ours around the middle of January.

Everything seems slower now, Will - well, except how quickly houses fly off of the shelves these days!
