Surely you jest!

This is my first time on AR on my computer and my first stop! I didn't have any issues on my phone today. I will say that it's hit or miss until they get us up and running and fully functional on the new platform.

Until then, I expect we'll have a lot of glitches. I think that is why Ben doesn't want us inviting newcomers to AR. 

Given how outdated the software running the site is and how immensely complicated the code is, there is no way to test every little feature prior to launch.  The main site functionality I'm sure is tested as part of the SDLC and change management process.  There is bound to be (or should be) some testing and sign-off done prior to launch and implementation.  Even then, there is no guarantee that the dev environment will perfectly match the real world usage.

Until "Active Rain 2.0" and it's revamped and modern code base comes into existence, these glitches will be a way of life.  As Debe Maxwell, CRS said, this is why Ben has asked us not to invite others for now.

It's been an ongoing ebb & flow of improvements and glitches since summer 2020 Rocky...it's the growing pains of improvement...they'll be over soon and worth the wait!

I've been noticing glitches on and off for 12 years that's I've been here.

I haven't been on much today but haven't noticed anything in particular. The photo editor seems to be working as it used to which is good news.

ActiveRain Real Estate Network could approach it like a scheduled power outage. You hear and know and plan for it from the utility communication. We don't hear from support and are left to figure out the work arounds until the time you spend is just not worth the return from the effort. I could never figure out why at least, at least once a week there is no blog post from any higher powers, the staff, the as they were dubbed "Active Rain evangelists" back when the platform was vibrant and folks who cared were hands on behind the shimmering lime green sequinned curtain. There was transparency and communication.

EXAMPLE "Hi folks. The engineers are saying one more day to put up with the lack of blah blah or before the ability to blah blah returns to normal. Thank you for your patience. Also, AR encourages more blog posts on blah blah to help make the platform content more well rounded and engaging. Extra hundred points this week for blog posts on "working remotely, setting up your home office" and "tips to avoid pain, strain, fatigue at the keyboard" . That's all for now. Here to serve you and we want to hear your thoughts on how to improve the AR platform experience".

Rocky since I have been trying to put my picures up yesterday I noticed the platform has the look of about six or eight years ago... it would have been nice from management to give us Heads Up that there will be Glitches... but that is being foolishly naive from me to expect that... that is being on the platform longer than ownership...just sayin

Unintended consequences are often the result as changes are being made. It's Newton's Law rearing it's head in inconvenient ways. 

I'm looking foward to Ben's next update on our Feb 2nd Zoom meeting.  I believe progress is being made. 

Well, that is pretty much life in the Rain, haha.  The gremlins seem to come out to play whenever they want without announcement.

Hi Rocky, not sure what you're referring to but I'm sure it's all going to work out when the re-building is complete. We all need patience and let's hold the faith it will happen sooner rather than later.

The big glitch bugging me is that I am not getting notified of comments on my posts like before.

Have not noticed anything today Rocky but showed homes today and wasn't on much.

Continued frustrations are not good for member retention.

It is discouraging not to receive comment notifications.

I notice when the workers bees are doing their thing, the system I'm connected to becomes quirky. When they stop cobbling the system, the quirk goes away and we live with the results.

I haven't seen anything yet... hopefully it's temporary, Rocky.

The gremlins and me cross company very seldom. Others are not so lucky!

Nope,  no problems at all. 

AR blew up in June and has been struggling to restore itself since . . . not the first time nor the last. They will be back (Ah-nold voice)!!!

I have not Rocky Dickerson - when I was on yesterday morning ... no issues with commenting on posts or in the Q&A.  Here's to better days ahead!

I was only on briefly yesterday, and did not notice.  BUT, there are always glitches on here.

Have been absent for a while. Stopped in Q&A to see what's happening.  I've followed the FB group. Planning to attend your next zoom meeting and get back to actively posting on AR.
