Sounds like you're having issues with the captcha.  It doesn't always help, but sometimes turning off an ad blocker or trying a different browser can help.

I believe a point threshold was set however cannot recall if it is 50K points or?? 
Below the threshold, commentators must complete spam prevention.  If you are getting an error it could be that you did not answer the questions correctly by clicking all the appropriate boxes.  

Since you are newer to the site, you have to do the spam prevention with all comments. (under 500K points) Why it's not working, I can't tell you. It happened a few weeks ago also.

I would have to suggest rebooting or changing browsers. Sometimes AR doesn't play well on Chrome.

have you tried a different browser

I was having a problem yesterday with error messages, today so far so good. Good luck. Maybe try logging out and back in in awhile.

Sometimes it helps to wait an hour when the system acts up and then try again.

Sounds like Support has addressed the issue. Hope it was the solution to your problem.
