while I am NOT nor will I ever be paperless (trees grow jobs), I also maintain an electronic copy of every document in the file in dotloop, plat, disclosure, listing, all offers, EMD check copies, when an agent submits an offer I am copied to review it each time a document goes in and that works well for us.
And further (who knows when dotloop could just vanish) I also copy files to folder and download said folders electronically (monthly) to a hard drive that is housed outside of my office expect for the monthly day of the download.
But I still maintain paper folders for every listing and transaction and I always will)
Of course I also still have an address book (the paper kind) with every contact from my phone in it. I mean what if.... my phone got stolen and the backup from the cloud didn't work right (it could happen).

I have a hybrid office. Great retail space for walk-ins for our floor agent and where our admin staff work and several desks for our agents to work when in the office, but we use Skyslope for transactions and listings, electronic signatures and now with Covid, all office meetings done via GoTo Meeting.

I use DocuSign and store files on my laptop and a backup copy on an external hard drive.
My clients do not want paper files - and I am happy not having to store said files for a number of years.

I use all the online tools, as others have mentioned. But I have folders for each client anyway. It helps keep me organized.

Esther - nice to "see" you on ActiveRain - hope all is well with you and in your world. Nothing to add to the answers provided. Just nice to see faces that haven't visited AR for awhile.

The more 'paperless' the office and agent goes, the greater the number of cooks in the kitchen....then things can and do go wrong.
For example, since 'admin' has access to ALL docs, even the folders labeled AGENT, the admin staff makes decisions and take action based on what they read in those notes. Listing status can and did change without agent knowledge.
So, I keep my docs in house, and only submit minimal information to the 'paperless' office. That way the messes are easier to clean up and explaining what NEVER should happen does not occur.
