We moved to Montana in 2019, which wound up to be perfect timing. I love where I am. I can also say that in July and August there were a huge # of home sales here and it looks like September will be similar. Many of those purchasing here are coming from other states such as California, Arizona and Texas.

  Our market is booming; lots of people fleeing the big cities.  But the motivator for that exodus is the taxation/politics, and the riots. 

Covid hasn't impacted my decision... but I have been eyeballing Canada, lately.  And not merely because Justin Theuroux is 'hunky'.

We will be moving relatively soon, but not because of the pandemic.  It will be strictly due to California politics. 

Nope! Covid has made me even more grateful for where I live. We have as a county by and large not given in to the madness. And business is so good it's crazy. Because well . . . people know we're still living our lives here and want to start living theirs again.

No, the virus would not be the factor of leaving NY, it would be representation and taxation.

No it has not. I've always wanted to live more rural but my wife would not be happy doing that.

COVID has not made me think about moving. But all these riots, defunding of police have done so.

No.  I'm in the type of area people are moving to and where people are selling big city commercial properties and buying rentals in.

No. We have enjoyed our home during the pandemic.

Covid is no problem for me and the many more but where I see Democrat leadership more and more I am convinced that me, my family and assets may be in jeopardy if something goes wrong or if they act out dysfunctional beliefs. There is a bible quote: "When a good King reigns the people rejoice". The opposite is true too

No, we love where we live.  I understand why some people want to leave including those who are leaving CA.  A

John oh yes we're seeing a lot of people relocating to AZ. Latest count was 300 to 350 a day which is  A LOT of folks yearls.  New builds are flying off the shelves.

C-19 may be less of a motivator than brazen criminal behavior of the untouchable classes.

Those fleeing CREATED their plight and confess they are not the cause. They ARE infected with craziness and will spread their disease  upon those less vigilant. They ARE a virus...that brings us back to C-19.

I plan to leave CA as soon as I retire. I was born here and thought I would die here ... unless I have an untimely death (not COVID-related) that is not going to happen. 

No- but if my son, his wife and my grandson move the wife will be thining about it, COVID-19 or not!

No, but it has made me spend more time in my home office and less in the public office.  A lot of zoom time with my staff and clients.

Our center city is very slow right now and many are thinking of moving to the burbs. 

Me, COVID had nothing to do with it but, I'm on an acre of land on the lake and LOVING it! 

We are blessed and couldn't be in a better community or location.  I feel for those living in unsafe, unhealthy and congested communities.

I live in the burbs now, so not me, but have some clients rethinking their home base location.

We live in a beautiful area but the taxes and politics have us shaking our heads more and more....!  I did joke (a little) last night that we might think about getting a 2nd place in NYC for some fun...!  No one liked my idea.  

Many from NYC are moving to the suburbs here.  Overall, I like where I live but I wish I had a balcony...or lived w/ my parents...as they have a nice deck.  Being in an apartment building now is not so hot, but at least delivery is easy and everyone here wears masks and is respectful.  I prob could not live in apartment building in other states where they aren't cautious.  But, my county, overall, is super attractive right now due to the nice area and backyards.

The real estate agents here seem to be doing very very well here w/ all the NYC clients.

Nope, not at all. I think that rentals might be down because many people have moved in with friends or went home to Mom & Dad. It's how many months now? I have not heard what the vacancy rates are.

Some people have chosen to leave urban areas for rural areas. Now as we buy houses in Kentucky, we're looking for properties on the fringes of the city rather than downtown areas.
