I live in the greater Chicagoland area.  The city’s largest short-term drop was a 22-degree plunge from 84 to 62 in just 150 seconds on May 9, 1963, measured along the lakefront at Grant Park. The city’s greatest one-day change was 52 degrees from 62 to 10 on Feb. 8, 1900. The largest day-to day plunge is 61 degrees from 74 on Nov. 11, 1911, to 13 on Nov. 12.

IDK but we were at 122 yesterday, today 118, tomorrow 86, Wed 87, Thu 89 and then Fri 105 . . . not yet time for evap but I'm going out to get pads and get started on maintenance . . . I love my cooler in Fall!

No idea. Our weather is usually fairly temperate year around. Rarely freezing and rarely over 90F.

The last few days have been a big exception to that norm. If it was this hot for this long here every summer, I would certainly install air conditioning.

15 degrees or so.  I hear Colorado is looking at around a 60 degree drop from 90 to 30 with snow tomorrow!
