Had considered another smartphone for an emergency backup, but never implemented that plan. I do have a backup iPad (kept in car) in addition to an enabled iPad Pro which is with me most of the time.

Just the one.  When I worked for a living, I had two.  One for myself and one that the company provided.  Was much easier that way, as we had to every quarter say how many calls/minutes we used for personal (and then they'd bill us).  Much easier to appease the bean counters when they asked "Really, zero?" with "yeah dude, I have my own phone for that stuff."

I have a Sunday and after hour mobile phone (and house land-line still) so family & friends can reach me anytime.

I have my work phone which I shut off by 7:00PM and it's off all day Sunday, starting Saturday at 6:00PM typically.

But, I only ever carry one phone.

Hi Fred- I'm retired but even though I do love gadgets, when I was active, I still only carried one phone. I'm confused enough as it is without having to worry about charging and updating two smart phones.
