No, but it is a powerful tool.

An assistant relieves you of work, my phone creates more work but also helps me prospect, market and close deals.

For me, it is a device that stores data and performs many other functions. That's it. No need to think of it as a digital assistant or anything else.

you know the other day I was just thinking that. I watch TV on it now with ear buds & I walk around. Can't do that with a 50".

I wish I felt that I could do more on it but I've realized I am a paper & pen kinda gal.

I love it when Google Maps looses connection when I park in my underground garage & then yells in my purse 'welcome home'. It's hilarious.

Nope... a smart phone by any other name is still a phone. I'm of the Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist school of thought on smart phones. They can, however, become electronic jailers if we let them take over our lives.

Smart phone is more than smart phone.

It is a smart living.

It is Supra.

It is Showing Time.

It is mobile or full site MLS.

It is Form Simplicity.

It is communication - from simple phone call to Whats Up, Face Time and more. Much easier to communicate with the customers out of town, state, country.

It is not ActiveRain. :( Not much you can do in AR on smart phone. One day we will.

I like my computers - dinosaurs - Sony All in One. And I like my smart phone.

I was on my phone all day yesterday - I walked in last night and couldn't wait to plug the darned thing in and forget about it! It rang as I was cooking dinner and I took it (I CAN multitask if I want to!!).

Had my phone been Christina (my personal assistant), I would have told her to hold my calls!!

Seriously, I understand what you are saying and the way we use our phones (group texts with lenders and clients, inspectors and clients, etc.) really does serve us well and is definitely along the lines of a communications assistant.

Today's phones are great Will Hamm but I prefer a larger screen for my business communications. That being said I use it as a phone and texter all day long.

Yes...iPHONE is an assitant! I use Suri for reminders, telling time, date, calendar, countdowns and text, calls etc. Some use it as a wallet or health tool. I predict in 2-3 years major breakthroughs in software and applications where the phone will control everything. They are already working on battery power extending without cords but pad charging and after that a continous charge around certain areas of the car, home and office without plugging anything in. The result? More power means more uses,,,,

No, it doesn't do work for me.

But it helps me to communicate by phone, text, and email, reminds me of calendar appointments, lets me browse the web, shop and order online, do mobile banking, check the news, weather, date and time, view PDF docs and maps, use a stopwatch and set an alarm clock.

I don't use it to post on social media.

I sometimes listen to online radio, but don't watch videos on it.

I have some call screener apps that help to block spam phone calls.

It's a versatile tool, like an electronic Swiss Army knife.

It's come a long long way since the tin can and the string for sure. Great stills, don't use it for tuneage. The cell phone is constant contact and buyers, sellers need that NASCAR pit stop quick connection. It's a tool but I find the video channel is the virtual assistance because it clones the real estate agent. Instead of one at a time property showings, there are hundreds, thousands round the clock. You get cloned Will Hamm .
