The migration will be equivalent to those citizens who moved to Canada after the last election. There were a lot of BLOW HARDS!

These decision will be made based on economies and the choices those economics make available.

In the cities there are the "downtown' folks who have the wealth and love the glamor. They will stay put. The urban dwellers the poor and working poor don't have the option. They will stay put.  The bedroom communities will be considering how to raise the height of the fence.

Then everything remains the same.

  A property in Madison County has been on the market for 3 years.  I talked with that Broker the other day, she had 3 full-price offers on it last week.  She says people are coming from southeast and southwest Florida, they are looking for rural.  Another Broker in Suwannee County told me the same thing.

   Will those Buyers actually move there?  Will they stay in those rural areas if things ever go back to normal?  Or will they put those properties back on the market?  It remains to be seen.

We have been seeing migration for many years to rural Mid - Md. They move here, then vote in anti growth politicians and say shut the door to any more growth or NIMBY!

Peter ~ In the near term, I see buyers/tenants looking for some more personal space and less common amenities (higher density, elevators, common hallways) to avoid having to interact with others.  Now 18-24 months down the road much of this may have faded from memory... time will tell.
